Edna & Rachel discussed the importance of acknowledgment of innovation created by municipal employees and residents that are involved in the community.
Appreciation and branding of these people, is essential for a healthy and innovative working municipality and any other local government.
The new global platform for innovation within municipalities – a part of the Israel Smart Cities Institute activities- allows for such recognition and acknowledgement and allows a forum to share success stories from around the world and eventually also for a market for those innovative products that cities will prefer to sell to its peers:
According to Edna – although AI is here to stay, it should not replace employees – but it should empower them with more information- including data- that will allow them to become more engaged and ore innovative, and Smart solutions, for smart cities also, are combine both people and technology.
