What is ISCI and why does it promote innovation in the city
The Israel Smart Cities Institute facilitates municipal transformation to REALLY smart cities leveraging Israeli innovation and technology, across all domains in a balanced, systems approach. We serve international cities in engaging with the Israeli high-tech ecosystem. We are a non-profit NGO with world renowned experts from both the Private and Public sectors.
This new GLOBAL FORUM 4 CITY INNOVATION- serves a few goals:
1. A platform for municipalities to present innovative and original content, created within the municipalities, by their staff, in all of the municipalities departments and fields of activity and interest- and/or content created by residents of a city and shared by them with the municipality . All of the above mentioned content will be referred to here as products.
2. These products will be offered by municipalities that will share them - under the terms of use that will be attached to each of them.
3.This platform will be the base for a global databank, for innovation products from municipalities around the world- allowing the sharing and/ or the exchange under terms that will be agreed upon- of products and knowledge between them- for the benefit of all.
4. A global forum for discussion, exchange of ideas, conferences and more activities- to enhance the municipality not only as a service provider for the residents of its city but also as an innovation accelerator- for the public good and advantage.
We are happy and proud:
To offer any member of any municipal staff- a place to share their innovative works and activities.
To offer municipalities of all sizes, kinds and from all parts of the world - a chance to share the innovations - of all kinds- from technological, to HR kind to original programs and content - that their staffs have created- and their stories of successful team work and employee appreciation.
An IP project in a municipality means: to collect, to manage, to protect and to utilize the unique knowledge assets within it.
Acknowledging the knowledge collected and the innovation the staff create daily - allows the municipality to realize its INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY assets- to decide how to utilize them to its best uses and to allow the staff to enjoy credit for taking part in creating them.
A municipality with innovative workers that also inspire innovative residents- is a smarter one.
Cities sharing the products of their innovation are smarter and better- for that alone and for much more.
ISICI offers this global platform- for municipalities to share the products of their innovation, to discuss them with other municipalities, to choose to work with ISCI on a project of enlarging innovation in the municipality and much more.
